ESD bags, dissipative
Dissipative ESD bags dissipate charges and are suitable for transport and storage within the EPA. They are available in pink, green, black and transparent, in 50, 60, 75 and 90 µm and in sizes from 52 x 76 to 600 x 800 mm.
You pack open bags quickly, while zip bags can be opened and closed again. If parts leave the EPA, use the shielding bags; all types of packaging in ESD packaging and shipping.

Colour as an organising aid
Pink and green can be used to separate by type of part, while transparent bags show the contents. Black bags are available in compact sizes.
Film thickness
Thin 50 µm bags suit light parts, 75 and 90 µm heavier and larger ones. Thicker film lasts longer and is suitable for repeated opening.
Open or with zip
Open bags are intended for processes with many parts. Choose zip bags if you often remove parts and put them back.

Does a dissipative bag shield against fields?
No. A dissipative bag dissipates charge but has no metal layer. For shielding protection you need a shielding bag.
