The ESD sweatshirt keeps staff warm at cooler workstations without giving up ESD protection: conductive carbon fibres in the fabric dissipate charge. It can be worn over the T-shirt or under the lab coat.
The fabric weighs 300 g/m² and consists of 45 % polyester, 45 % cotton and 10 % conductive carbon fibres. The manufacturer states a dissipative resistance of 10⁶ to 10⁷ ohm. It is available in sizes XS to 5XL.
ESD clothing works only together with grounding of the person. Plan for a wrist strap or heel grounder and a dissipative floor.
