ESD/EMI moisture barrier bag for components that must be protected from moisture and electrostatic discharge at the same time. Suitable for storage and shipping of moisture-sensitive electronics.
Description
The bag keeps moisture out and shields the contents against electrostatic influences.
Many electronic components absorb moisture from the air. During soldering, this moisture can cause damage. A moisture barrier bag prevents humidity from getting into the packaging once it is sealed.
The ESD/EMI version additionally protects the contents from electrostatic fields and discharges. This way, a single pack covers both risks that arise when storing sensitive components.

What to look for when choosing
- Closure: the barrier effect only arises with a tight seal, usually a heat seal.

Notes on use
Pack components at the grounded workstation and close the bag as quickly as possible. After opening, process or repack the contents according to your moisture specification. Store the bags closed in their original packaging before use.
Frequently asked questions
Is the bag alone sufficient as moisture protection?
The barrier works when the bag is sealed tightly. Desiccant and humidity indicator are usually added.
