ESD field service kits
Technician call-outs do not always take place in the EPA. The service kits consist of a vinyl mat measuring 600 x 600 mm or 610 x 610 mm in red or blue, which you lay out on any table and ground.
Depending on the kit, four snaps or a crocodile clip are included for connection, and two kits contain gloves and an insulated crocodile clip. You will find fixed workbenches in ESD workbenches and bench-top structures, and further workstation equipment in ESD workstation equipment.

Which kit for which application?
Mat only
If you only need a grounded surface for circuit boards and components, the mat with four snaps is sufficient. You connect it to your grounding cord.
Mat with crocodile clip
With the crocodile clip, you connect the mat to a grounding point on site in a few simple steps.
Kit with gloves
The kits with gloves and insulated crocodile clip provide the basic equipment for gloves and grounding if you want to get started quickly.
Frequently asked questions
Does the mat have to be grounded?
Yes, the mat performs its function only through the connection to the grounding point. Snaps or crocodile clip are intended for this.
Why are there red and blue?
Mat is available in red and blue, with snaps, with crocodile clip or in a kit with gloves. The version is given in the product title.
